Trying to make up for lost time.
When I was living from paycheck to paycheck, I was doing very little saving. Now, I am doing whatever it takes to build up my savings and investments. Frugal living is what it takes!
I cashed in all of the change that we have been saving for a long time, and it amounted to $359.00. It will be transferred to the ING account tomorrow. Progress!
Yes, I took it to my credit union. They have a coin counting machine in the lobby. It took a very long time for all of the change to be counted. You can only feed a small amount of change in at a time, or it will jam. One employee walked by and said, "Wow, that's a lot of quarters!" The teller also commented on what a lot of quarters that was. The machine prints out a receipt, and you take it to the teller. It tells how many of each demonitation the machine counted. It was also very HEAVY carrying all of those coins.
