A very bad day.

January 31st, 2007 at 05:36 pm

It has not been a good day.
My 14 month old grandbaby was hospitalized because he is so ill with strep and a stomach virus. He is in another state, and I feel badly that I can't be there to help with the other little boys, and I'm worried about the baby.
My husband's three year old truck broke down and he has to miss an important meeting out of town.
I got my property taxes, and talk about "sticker shock". Some new taxes were voted in, and it really made an impact. I did not vote for the taxes, but such is life.
Hopefully, the baby will be better tomorrow and can come home. The rest doesn't matter.

Sending good thoughts for the poor little thing! Two illnesses at once in such a little guy--ouch. Hope tomorrow is better for you all.

They found out, last night, that the baby also has RSV, so he is now on oxygen. He won't be going home today. The good news is that the stomach virus appears to be ending, and he was able to eat a little food this morning.
The anitbiotic has taken care of the strep. Now, it is just getting over the RSV, which can be very serious for a baby.
    Thanks for your kind words!

Oh, dear. I hope he gets over it soon. I hope your daughter or son and their spouse are coping well. It is so hard to have a baby be so sick they are hospitalized. As parents we feel helpless, as grandparents, I imagine its much the same. Hang in there.
