Great Grocery Savings

I spent $11.87 at Albertson's today, and saved a total of $34.02!
They had General Mills Cereal at 10 for $15.00, and since we like Total I bought ten boxes. I also had four coupons for $1.00 off on two boxes, so that saved an additional $4.00. (The regular price for a box is $4.24). I purchased one other item for $.87 that had been $3.49.
We eat oatmeal a lot, and it was purchased for a dollar for a 42 oz container, but we get tired of it if eaten every day. The Total will be a nice change.

The sale started last Wednesday, but I thought there might be coupons in the Sunday paper, and there were! Bonus!

    Great buy. I love coupons. Yesterday I got 4 bags of salad, 2 pks. of croutons, 2 pks. of tuna, and 3 boxes of cereal for $1.67. The power of coupons. Smile

    Wow! That is amazing! You must have double couponing available. There is only one store in this area that doubles (up to a 50 cent coupon), and it is at the other end of town, so I don't go there very often. Their regular prices are high. You are the "Coupon Queen"! Way to go!

    No double coupons. Our stores won't do that. The salads were marked down to .99 and I had a $2.00 coupon off 2. I also had a coupon that when 2 salads were purchased (I got 4) you got croutons and tuna FREE! On the cereal, it was on sale for $2.50, and I had $2.00 coupons for each. This made the cereal the only thig I paid for at .50 a box.The funny thing is that these were all coupons were all found in the store. Tear pads and peelies. I figured on this one small purchase I saved around $24.00. I think I will add this to my challenge.
    You did great on your savings also. I just wish I could do this all the time.
