Yesterday, we had to make an emergency visit to the vet, resulting in a $108.00 bill, including the antibiotic. That was certainly an unplanned for expense, but the dog is certainly worth it.
Today, I went to Sam's to pick up one item, and saw some great shoes on sale. I tried them on, put them in the cart, and then asked myself if I REALLY needed them, and put them back. They were great shoes though. They even sell Clark's there now.
Oh well, I don't have $26.47 less in my checking account since I didn't make the "impulse" buy.

Our Llasa had an ear infection and had to go the vet. $141.50 later (ear wash, antibiotic cream, etc). Far more expensive than ear infection for our non-furry children. The vet suggested allergy testing which is probably the cause for the ear infection (she's had them in the past). I had to laugh that DH considered it because we are waiting to see what the insurance will cover on our daughter's allergy testing via bloodwork which was $985 AFTER a $500 insurance adjustment.
Good for you for putting back your shoes! I shopped - rather I went along with my mom - and I left my purse in the car. It was hard to resist some items that I of course didn't need. But I did OK and didn't buy a thing.
